Time passes quickly. Ella and I talked about time and what time means...hours, minutes, seconds, past, present, future?
In our fast-paced world, what became clear was the need to spend more time in the present/in the now--not running from here to there or rushing to complete the day's tasks, but truly spending time in the moment: curling up and reading, making our favorite scones, listening to music, talking about life, enjoying time in nature--whatever our hearts speak.
And so, we're dedicating one day each week to rest (honoring God, ourselves, and the gift of time). This means no school work, tv's, chores, business, etc.; it is truly a day of togetherness--a day set aside to do whatever our hearts desire during that 24 hour period of precious time.
