She decided on a German theme this year and met with Hans, the owner of King's Biergarten in Pearland, to secure a spot. She not only secured a spot with him, but he and his wife, Meghan, went above and beyond to support her in every way possible.
First of all, they support her as a young musician and allow her to play on stage with the Enzian Buam band, when possible. Secondly, on Lemonade Day, they provided a beautiful German backdrop, a skirted table complete with a tent set up to protect her from the sun, and an ice chest filled with ice. As if that wasn't enough, they also made a generous monetary donation.
All she had to do was show up, sell her German-inspired lemonade, and entertain her customers with a little fiddle music.
Support doesn't get much better than that. So Hans and Meghan...from one-pint sized entrepreneur to another, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts!💛💚
Stand Name inspired by Hans (the owner), el (what we call Ella for short), and Pretzel (well...a German staple) |
Ella found a cause greater than our neighborhood. Studies purport lemons help fight off cancer, so what better cause to support than a family she admires trying to fight off this horrible disease.
And, she ended on a sweet note with an unexpected award (certificate, trophy, and $75 check)....
Thank you Galveston Chamber of Commerce for making such a valuable program available to our little ones--and for recognizing her creative efforts.
Until next year, she'll "spend a little, save a little, give a little back."
