A Treasure Box

We pulled in to our driveway this afternoon just in time for nap--and right as Ella spied a package at the front door.  Let's just say nap was postponed (hence the dark circles;) a bit while she/we excitedly worked our way through lots of fun dress-up clothes, notes, and accessories shipped with love all the way from California.   I say shipped with love because what college girl would actually box up some of her fond childhood memories  and ship them to Texas to surprise a little girl she's never met in person.  How blessed are we?

For those of you who haven't heard the story.  I "met" Elizabeth through a Paypal purchase (VintageStuff.us) last year when I bought Ella's Wizard of Oz dress for her 4th birthday party, and we have stayed in touch through email, FB, and iPhone videos.  Elizabeth's mom was a costume designer in California and had her own theatre; most of these costumes (and others we purchased) were created by her mom, used in plays, or designed especially for Elizabeth and her sister, Emily.
The Goose That Laid the Golden Egg (from Jack and the Beanstalk).
Carrot Turned Microphone
Hat made from "old sweaters"
Hmmm...it's a Love Elf Raggedy Ann Rabbit
Poofie the Wizard
Big Baby
We made our way through some of the costumes before our sweet baby conked out.
Thank you Ridolfi ladies for sharing your talents and magical memories with Ella!  I love that we get to hear your stories and share the ones Ella creates--in the same costumes.   We feel so blessed.
