For weeks, Ella and I have been patiently waiting for seeds to sprout and grow into something that looks similar to the pictures on the seed packets. The mystery is over; our garden is well on its way.
Tomorrow, the two-year-old class was asked to bring a cucumber plant to school for the collective garden. She thinks it's pretty cool--and so do I--that she gets to bring a cucumber plant she grew from a seed.
This afternoon the toddler in me was needing a little instant gratification. So, we headed to the nursery for some potted flowers. The pickings were slim, but we're off to a good start. Ella helped me plant and--as usual--enjoyed her "work/playtime."

So much for instant gratification...that's one daisy down! |
Surrounded by our new creations, we carried out our bedtime ritual underneath a crescent moon--and let the birds sing E to sleep.

I love how she gives a 110% effort and rubs it all over when she is done!!!
