Bleating Moments

...as the herd gathers for Musical Mornings with Ella.
Goats bleat to express their feelings; humans play music to express theirs. Moments like these are therapeutic for us all.
Today we celebrate another special moment:  our annual June 18th Ella B Day (the official day Ella became a Broussard in the eyes of the courts).  So thankful God chose us to do life together.  She is definitely our most valued treasure!
A slice of pecan pie from one of her favorite Round Top Haunts:  Royer's Pie Haven

And, an ever-so-sweet cat nap made her day complete!

We're enjoying every bleating, fleeting moment with our little Miss Ella B:).

Pea and her Pods

I recently found my old iPod Shuffle tucked away in a drawer. While Ella was sleeping, Troy and I uploaded some of her favorite tunes and audio stories.

She loved waking up to that sweet surprise; I love that it is tiny, with no screen.

Who would have thought this little device would provide so many fantastically fun, pod-filled days listening to Sparkle Stories via podcast on her new/old iPod Shuffle, while hanging out in her cozy Huggle Pod
Don't let the pictures fool you...she did A LOT of singing and dancing, too.  Anyone care to guess a few of her favorite songs?

Dancing to her own beat...

Music is in her soul, and she dances to her own beat.  She and daddy share a varied taste in music;).

Daddy had the tv on X Factor.  Love the way she holds her doll's finger like she holds her daddy's when they dance together--and pats her partner on the back.

Not sure where the Rock and Roll fist pump came from, but she loves her rock!
