Asleep on the Trail

Spotted this beautiful, glowy caterpillar on my walk this morning.  Think the cold might have gotten him.  Anyone know what kind it is?  I did a quick Google search, but didn't see anything similar.  

Gotta save it for a bit so my girl can explore.  Which means, I'm sure we'll be giving this sweet fella an elaborate burial of sorts in the near future;).  

Secret Garden

What started out as pruning turned into the creation of a secret garden.  The bamboo trees inside our fence are always well manicured, but the two outside the fence have that unkept jungle kind of look.  And, as it turns out...that less than cultivated landscape is a treasure trove of little creatures for Ella to love. Tucked in amongst the overgrown trees are hidden fruits and herbs that most certainly will tickle her senses.

For now, I choose to prune less and lie down in a patch of grass, brown headed girl in the crook of my outstretched arm, searching for animals in the clouds.
