Elmo Makes a Surprise Visit

After a 630 mile trip from Amarillo, Elmo arrives at Ella's front door!

A kind, thoughtful couple in the panhandle sent Ella an early birthday surprise that arrived today.  The birthday box was filled with a super cute, balloon-crafted Elmo made by a local Twister, stickers, glittery crayons--and lots of fun, perfect-for-a-toddler packing peanuts.

Thanks Jeanette and James for the early birthday celebration--and for your continued kindness!  Jeanette, we hope to meet you someday soon...and thanks for sharing your husband with Ella when he's in town.  She's definitely smitten with him.

We continue to be blessed with so much unexpected generosity!

Elmo's World...

La La La La La La La La Elmo's world...

A friend gave us an Elmo phone many months ago, and Ella immediately fell in love with the fuzzy red dynamo!  Since he's all about imagination, I thought I would create something Elmo related for dinner.  The result:  Elmo pot pies.

I used a recipe out of her Cook It in a Cup! cookbook by Julia Myall, which I purchased a while back on Amazon.com.  http://www.amazon.com/Cook-Cup-Quick-Treats-Silicone/dp/0811859568/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1314732592&sr=8-1.

The cute little Elmo outfit came from a local resale shop, The Funky Monkey:  http://www.fmresale.com/.
