Mr. John Jones, President of the Western Swing Music Society South (WSMSS), told Troy about this music society during a private party in Chappell Hill back in February. We thought we would try it out, so in March we made the trek to Wichita Falls. Turns out, the society has something really special in its purpose and its people.
Ella got to play onstage with the talented McKedy trio from McCleod, OK, and got offered a scholarship for an upcoming Bobby Flores Music Camp in July.
Fast forward to July 2022, we joined the society in Lawton Oklahoma last weekend for nights of music, dancing, jamming, and fellowshipping. Here’s to new friends, music legends, Hall of Famers, and a society that supports young musicians!
This week, Ella has been enjoying that Bobby Flores Music Camp with other young musicians and having a great time learning from music legends;).
