Random Acts of Kindness (RAK)

Spreading a little love and Raven's Light this afternoon...
On January 14, 2020, a video appeared on my Facebook feed.  I didn't know the person in the video, but the expression on her face spoke to me, so I listened, cried, and followed as the story unfolded over the past several months.

She's a Texas mom--a mom in pain--after she watched her six year-old daughter, Raven, die in front of her eyes.  "It was all really simple" she said after telling how her ex husband, Shane, dropped Raven off to her at her work.  And, I paraphrase...they were in the parking lot (and it was cold outside), so mom (Tanner Trujillo) went to start her car.  Raven and her daddy (Shane Goff) were saying their goodbyes the way they had always done...Raven would run into his arms, he would throw her up in the air...and catch her.  Only this time, for some reason, she went back instead of up, and Shane "could not" catch her.  Raven never knew she fell, and died shortly afterward; her organs were donated and saved the lives of seven other people.  This couple's lives changed forever after an innocent moment in time turned into the worst day of their lives.

Their story is a story of love and loss, pain and sadness, support and strength, and God's words that give them peace and promise.  Raven's story reached every country in the world, and her story is bringing people closer to God--even those who stopped believing.  It all started with this one video...https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vgF7rb-5FaY.

Since Tanner and Shane are divorced, he started a foundation called Raven's Light, and Tanner's story is told through RAVENous Reach.  If you choose to follow, Tanner's voice/words inspires beyond measure; Shane's journey reveals pain, suffering, yearning, and the love of God that keeps him breathing each day.

So, in an effort to spread Raven's Light and bring smiles, we ventured out to spread some kindness.

First stop:  a sweet church family who could use a little isolation blessing

Second Stop:  Our preacher's 98 year old mother (sweet Dorothy)

Last stop:  Our preacher and his wife did a drive by to listen to the fiddle tune they missed at their house...and to spread their love.💕
Fly high Raven and pay it forward friends....  Blessings!
