Ella and I made her first wind chime: http://www.handsonaswegrow.com/ this weekend from tin cans. She had more fun painting the paper--and herself! We let the paint dry, and I drilled holes, attached washers and twine. It was a fun painting activity, but next time I will do some prep work on the cans (sand and prime) so her design lasts longer.
Two of the more colorful cans didn't make it; they were smooth cans, and the dried paint cracked right off--so we're down to one, two, three cans!
We hung it on her outdoor music rack...now we just need a breeze.
